about

On August 22, 1965, some 700 lucky teenagers at Proch's Popular Ballroom in Ellsworth, Wisconsin shook to the Bird Dance Beat of Minneapolis' mighty Trashmen. Now, it's not like this show was one of a kind. Heck, the T-men played 289 dates in 1964 alone. What makes this one so special is that it's one of only a handful ever captured on tape. Teen Trot is the first-ever release of a live concert by the Trashmen, and features 20 songs - nine previously unissued - and original stage announcements for that "you-are-there" feeling!

Anyone who's ever been severely jolted by anthems like "Surfin' Bird" and "Bird Dance Beat" knows the unparalleled joy of flailing about helplessly to Tony Andreason's blistering guitar and the manic, rumbling vocals of drummer Steve Wahrer. ... more
